What the planner is

Money Scenarios is a projection tool. It takes the facts and assumptions you enter and computes what follows from them under the tax rules it has been given, year by year. Every figure is a projection under your assumptions. It is not financial, tax, investment or legal advice, it does not know your full situation, and it is not a substitute for a professional who does. Decisions you make with it are yours.

The tax rules it applies are seeded from published sources and cited, and they change. A projection computed today can differ from one computed after the rules are reseeded; the planner tells you when that has happened to an unchanged plan.

Your plan link

A plan link is a secret address. Anyone who has it can open and edit the plan, so share it only with people you would show the numbers to. We cannot recover a lost link — nothing else identifies the plan — and a lost link means a lost saved plan. Plans and their retention are described in the privacy policy.

What it costs

Free today, and it may not stay free. If a price ever appears, it will be stated on this site before anything is charged, and nothing you saved while it was free is deleted — your numbers stay on your own device, and a plan link keeps its last saved state.

Any price, its renewal terms and how to cancel will be stated on this page and on the planner page before you could agree to them, not after. Prices shown on the site today are the price the planner would carry; nothing is charged, and no card or email is collected.

Acceptable use

Use the planner for your own household or business, or for people who have asked you to. Do not attempt to access plans you have not been given the link to, probe the service, or use automated tools against it.

Availability and changes

The planner is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of error, and we may change or withdraw features.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Money Scenarios is not liable for decisions made in reliance on a projection, for lost data where a plan link was lost or shared, or for indirect losses of any kind.
